Abbott Nutrition, Abbott Park, IL, has released EAS Peak, a sports nutrition/performance beverage that features P3 technology, which sustains energy, increases workout capacity and protects muscles from breakdown, according to the company. EAS Peak contains a proprietary blend of beta-alanine1, isomaltulose and HMB (beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate). The product is an “excellent source” of protein (10 grams per serving) and also contains 25 grams of carbohydrates (15 grams isomaltulose), 150 calories and less than 1 gram of fat. It is available in Orange Spark, Peach Surge and Fruit Power flavors.
